Your boat driving instructor
Your motorboat driving instructor Ändu has got many years of experience with motorboats on Lake Zurich. He professionally and efficiently prepares you for the motorboat exam.
Training program
The motorboat and the mandatory equipment including the engine system. Docking and undocking at the jetty and pier to port and starboard, ahead and astern. Manoeuvring in tight spaces (turning on the spot, turning over the bow). Bow and stern landing at the buoy, jetty, and in the berth, "man overboard" manoeuvre. Cruising on different courses according to landmarks and compass. General seamanship (knots, securing the vessel, boat safety, fundamentals of boat handling). Preparation for the exam category A.
Duration of training
The duration of the training varies depending on the individual’s qualifications and age. The average is around 16 to 20 lessons until the level required for the final exam.
Teaching materials
Our specially developed training materials are included in the training price and will be handed over to you during your first lesson. Additionally, you will receive access to our learning app and our video portal with training videos of all the maneuvers you have learned.
Category A1 (motor-powered sailing vessels)
The training for driving sailboats with engines (category A1). You can complete the training on our sailing boat. The course of the training consists of the same maneuvers as the motorboat exam category A, with the exception of the reverse maneuvers, which are not part of this training. The same fees apply as for the sailing exam category D training.
